I have not made jam or jelly is many many years. My mom and her husband have been making raspberry jam for several years now that they have wonderful raspberry bushes growing in the garden. My mom makes a recipe using sugar for her jam and my step dad makes a non-sugar recipe for himself.
I was glad to help make some jam while I was there. The raspberries were beautiful. So were the cute little tree fogs in the bushes that I posted about a few days ago.
We followed the recipe printed on the pectin box. I was, once again, amazed at how quickly the whole process went. I look forward to the time when our blackberry bushes are producing and I can make my own jam at home.
Sincerely, Emily
I love making jam, it’s so much fun. This looks seriously great. You should check out my damson jelly, it’s amazing :D.
Thanks for stopping by. The color is so inviting. I am heading our your way to check out your damsom jelly.
Ohhhh that does look good. And I bet your house smelled so good. I am bringing my toast over now.
Jane, Don’t come to my house! You have to go to my mom’s house in Minnesota – the jam is there! Your toast will be cold by then (fine w/me, but I don’t know how you feel about cold toast) we will make toast for you! It was good to help out and yes, the smell was wonderful!
I can’t wait till my rasberries produce enough to make jam. I just started them this year.
I hope your raspberry bushes do well. I have planted blackberry bushes and am patiently waiting for them to mature and bare fruit.
