Braided Bread and Stuffed Bread

Look at what I did yesterday!

Mine is the long one on the right

This was the 5 strand bread braid I did.

The class was a lot of fun. All hands on.

I look forward to making more of the stuffed bread with peppers and onions from the garden and local meat.

Sincerely, Emily

  1. What did you stuff it with? It looks yummy. I keep eyeing the local spelt flour at the market, but haven’t made the plunge yet. Would be fun to make a local bread.

    • The teacher had made of the stuffing mixture ahead of time. It was pre-cooked ground turkey, grated cheese and oregano, garlic powder, salt, peppers, Italian seasonings. The cheese sort of disappeared, so I look forward to making this again with more bulk on the inside once the peppers start coming in out in the garden. I will use sauteed peppers and onions and maybe a meat also. Mushrooms would be good also, even olives.
