My German chamomile (Matricaria recutita) has been growing very well this year. I had a few plants come up form last years seeds and I planted a few more to increase my harvest.

I don’t have any German chamomile growing. I have shied away from the tea as have allergys and wondered if it would effect that? Allergic to weeds and trees and dust. Are you allergic to anything? Nancy
Hi Nancy – yes, I have had allergy tests and have been allergic to a lot of things (molds, dust, grasses, lots of trees, dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, etc, etc, etc) I know as the years go by my allergies have shifted away from some of those things to other things, but I still have allergies. I, personally, have never shied away from eating or different things (especially wild edibles or “weeds” because of it. German chamomile is an herb (and also a pretty flower in the garden.) There are a lot of wild herbs/edibles that have been labeled as weeds – dandelion is one of them. I definitely don’t shy away from them because they are “weeds!”
